EvALUATION ACTIVITY 3 continued

Hello and welcome to the directors review with myself....stephen taylor.
First

funding is also very important when it comes to the making of a film. For our remake of imonster i think the funding association microwave would be ideal.
microwave give out 100grand to new directors giving them the breakthrough and the chance to make there film.
Microwave would only grant you the funding if they think your film has enough potential. To do this you first send them a script of your film and then once approved you receive funding from the company.

I think microwave is a great way for new directors to get there names out there by being given that amount of money

These are a few newer films that have been produced with support and funding from Microwave Film London,

  • Shifty by Eran Creevy (Film London Microwave 2008)
  • Mum & Dad by Steven Sheil (Film London Microwave 2008)
  • Derek by Isaac Julien (Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network 2008)
  • I think our film is quite like the film shifty as it's about  a young crack cocaine dealer in London who sees his life quickly spiral out of control when his best friend returns home.

there are some key features in the opening credits of our remake of imonster. one of my favourites being the bloody arm you see as  johnson(our modern day doctor marlowe) opens to the cupbaord to get the drug that he has been working on and expirmenting with.

Another feature i like about our opening credits are the edited stills i created on photoshop.
thankyou for listening to the directors view and most importantly watching our movie.
