Credit rough cut

This morning we shot some scenes for our rough cut of our Imonster title sequence re-make.
We shot it in a room at our college, for the real thing we want to shoot it in a more private room perhaps  a study or one of our bedrooms. After shooting the scenes i got editing on Final Cut, i wanted to create the cartoon effect with the shots taken, so i took screen grabs of the image still but to do this on final cut i had to go to 'file' then 'export' then still image file using 'quicktime conversion' then put the still image into photoshop making giving it the cartoon effect then importing it back into the video using a range of different transactions as i am now unsure on what to use for the final piece. So far I've used a verity of transactions such as the Explode, the Ripple and the Implode.
During our real credit sequence I'd like to keep to just one effect/transition.

During the editing and filming of this we changed quite a few scenes, partly as for the rough cut we didn't have the material such as to spill a cup of tea on the college floor.

To push one scene out and put another scene in we used the 'matrix' transition.
