I Monster

The main character in the film is Dr. Marlowe who experiments with drugs that you inject to create change of behavior. In the film Dr Marlowe talks about how the drugs gives the part of someone that the person doesn't know they have, i.e when he talks to the girl who tries to seduce him after being injected.
The other main character in the film Mr Blake gradually turns into a monster during the film both physically and with his personality. The other character in the film is D. Marlowe colleague who is also a friend his name is Dr. Utterson.

The three main elements of the original story that i believe will still appeal to a modern day audence of horror fans include putting a substance into your body that causes changes to take place and how these changes are different within different people.
A person changing into some sort of monster or alien such as the recent film(District 7) when a guy gets bitten by an alien and slowly changes into one.
The film is quite short and keeps the audience guessing and wanting to know what happens next which i think is a good selling point for the film.

The story beggins with Marlowe voicing his opinion that humans have a good and evil side that can be separated. In Marlowe's lab he experiments by injecting his cat with a drug, and when the cat attacks him he kills it with a poker. He also injects one of his patients with the drug and she then tries to seduce him. When a angry male patient comes to see him he gets injected he tries to please instead of being angry. Marlowe decides to inject himself as part of anexperiment and finds that when he gives himself an antidote he changes back again. The film continues with a pattern of injecting drugs which creates a bad character and then re-injecting with an antidote to change back, whilest on the drug a number of bad events take place and the plot becomes more complex.

The film works with freuds three parts of a person, the id, the ego and the super ego. The drug distroying two parts but a different two parts in each person when the super ego is distroyed people become monsters.
